REX, Peter Charles. May 14, 1944 – November 22, 2015 of R.R. # 1 Moorefield passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, November 22, 2015 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Jacqueline Rex (nee Button) for 49 years. Always in the Hearts of his sons Troy and Lisa Rex of Millbank, Sean and Denise Rex of Alma, Tim and Tammy Rex of Brampton and Todd and Paula Rex of Breslau. Cherished grandfather of Danielle, Kacie, Tanner, Zachary, Courtney, Conner, Kristi, Tyler, Brayden, Daniel and Josh. Brother of Bill Rex of Lynden. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Agnes Rex and by his brother Richard Rex. Pete was a moulder by trade and employed for many years at Slater Steel in Hamilton and Malleable Iron in Guelph. He was a 30 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 226 Arthur. To honour Peter’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 226 conducted a Legion Service Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. In Lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
