Radstake, Richard Willem (Dick); of R.R.#1 Moorefield passed away peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Eileen Radstake (Jantzi) for 42 years. Loving father of Cheryl and her husband Mike Reidt of Harriston and Judy and her husband Andrew Hutchison of R.R.#3 Fergus. Dear grandfather of Kelsey-Lynn Reidt and Jorin Reidt both of Harriston; Leah, Carter and Gavin Hutchison of R.R.#3 Fergus. Brother of Mina Zantinge of Arthur, Reik and John Foster of R.R.#2 Moorefield, John and Sandy Radstake of Mount Forest, Bill and Reik Radstake of Drayton and Hank and Joanne Radstake of R.R.#2 Alma. Brother-in-law of Lorraine Radstake of Arthur and Ken and Ruth Jantzi of Kitchener. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased his parents Derk and Johanna (Beuvink) Radstake, one brother Gerrit Radstake and brother-in-law John Zantinge. Dick worked at United Breeders (Gencor) for 30 years and after he received early retirement in 1996, he spent much of his time making furniture and building special projects for family and friends. In the past ten years much of his time has been spent volunteering with many different organizations. For the past two years he faced his Pulmonary Fibrosis with courage, determination and lived each day to the fullest. The family received friends at the Listowel Mennonite Church, Listowel on December 11, 2010 and on December 12, 2010. Pastor Nancy Brubaker conducted the Funeral Service in the Listowel Mennonite Church on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11am. Interment in Derryadd Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Mennonite Central Committee, Mennonite Disaster Services or the Wellington County Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
