QUIGLEY-SMITH, Esther – with her family by her side, at Palmerston and District Hospital on Friday, November 18, 2016 in her 92nd year. Esther Margaret (Craig) Quigley-Smith was loved and will be remembered by her children Keith and Betty Jean Quigley of Harriston, Dianne Bennett of Fergus, Leone and Paul Reichard of Gorrie, Linda and Glenn Wilkin of Harriston, Sharon and David Fudge of Orangeville, Brenda and Al McKelvey of Mount Forest, Debbie and Greg Osberg of Okotoks, AB, Dale and Diana Quigley of Invemere, BC, Ken and Joan Quigley of Staffa, and Trevor Quigley of Palmerston, and by her many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her husbands Bruce Quigley and Harold Smith, daughter Caroline ‘Essie’ Quigley, and her sons William Quigley and wife Madeline, and Murray Quigley (November 13, 2016). She was the last surviving child of the late Samuel and Myra Craig, being predeceased by her brothers Cecil, Chesley, Milton, and Lionel Craig, and by her sisters Aleatha Dowler, Edna Moore, Velma Baumber, and infant sister Ethel. Esther was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Harriston, and a 50+ year member of the Harriston Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Legion Auxiliary memorial service at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service for Esther and her son Murray will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 26 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the Palmerston & District Hospital, or Harriston-Minto Fire Department would be appreciated.
