Passed away suddenly at home on Monday, November 13, 2023. Don Lawrence Pye in his 65th year, was the beloved husband of 30 years to Jana (Hullah) Pye. He was the loving father of Fiona Pye. Don was the dear brother of David Pye (Anna), Kim Hullah (Pat) and Doug Pye (Linda). He was the loved son-in-law of Ed Hullah and the late Joan Hullah and brothers-in-law Pat Hullah and Pete Hullah. Don was the dear uncle of Matthew, Jennifer, Colin, Katie and Nathan. Predeceased by his parents Joan (Stammers) and John Pye. Don will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his big heart, his warm smile, his genuine interest in others, and his ability to gather people together for a damn good time. Private cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Tuesday November 28th from 12 noon – 2pm. A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held in the Chapel at 2pm. A reception will follow in the funeral home fellowship Lounge. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
