We treasure every moment you spent in life with us. We hoped to have you longer, but it wasn’t meant to be. Bill joined his beloved wife on March 26, 2025 in his 81st year. Bill was born in Toronto at St. Joseph’s Hospital along side his twin brother. Bill is the eldest son of the late Douglas and Betty Pullen. He lived in Mimico and then Port Credit until the age of 8, and then moved with his family to their farm in Mono, ON until 1967 when he married Bev. Bill is predeceased by his loving and devoted wife Beverley Horsley (2009) of 42 years. Bill and Bev lived in Orangeville until 1979 and then purchased their hobby horse farm in Grand Valley. They enjoyed their racehorses and breeding warmbloods. Lovingly remembered by his only daughter Kim and son in law Jim Davison. Adored Papa to Dylan (Kelsey), Britney (Travis) Knight and great-grandfather to Davis Knight. Predeceased by his twin brother and business partner John (2019) and brother Paul (1993). Survived by his siblings Marie, George, Doug, Eileen, Lori, Linda, Rob and Val. Bill was a much-loved uncle and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Retired Owner/Partner of Pullen Brothers Construction Ltd. Bill was a well-respected businessman in Dufferin County who loved his family very much. Bill was outgoing and very hardworking, always hands on, following in the family trade, there was nothing too big or too small for Bill to build. Bill enjoyed making his customer’s dreams come true. Bill was kind-hearted, reasonable and enjoyed a good conversation, always very sociable. Bill loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying his free time at the family hunt camp. Fishing was always a highlight with his lifetime best friend Ian. Bill’s biggest catch was in Africa in 2018 on his dream Safari trip. Bill was a member of the Grand Valley Lion’s Club and co-founder/board member of The Upper Grand Trailway 2000-2019. Bill donated endless hours to building the Lion’s Park Pavillion and the Trailway in Grand Valley for all to enjoy. The family would like to give a special thanks to Fox Run Retirement Home in Erin, Pat and Pat. As well a special thanks to Shiv, Sylvia, Sonja, Sam, Michelle and all of the staff at Caressant Care in Arthur. Your unwavering love and support will never be forgotten. A celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc. for a casual reception, on Monday April 7, 2025, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, with Words of Remembrance at 3:00pm. A private family interment will take place at Grand Valley Union cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in honour of Bill can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Dufferin County, the Grand Valley Lion’s Club, or the Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue, for horses in need.
