Poljanski, Berta;  Peacefully at Royal Terrace Nursing Home, Palmerston on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in her 86th year. Beloved wife for forty-five years of the late Alexander Poljanski. Cherished and beloved mother of Ernie (Tina), Claudia (John) Farrelly, Alex (Cathy), Lilly (Alfred) Beilke, Nikolaus (Honor), Betsy Gimblet, Mary McTavish and Katherine (Bert) Beilke.  Cherished and beloved grandmother of Tammy, Sherri, Rob (Jenn), Cory, Rick, Bob (Bonnie), Jason (Heather), Cathy-Lynn, Shaun (Sarah), Jeffrey (Stacey), Jennifer (Jack), Michael (Ashlee), Renae (Andrew), Honor (John), MaryAnn (Dean), Will (Deb), Steven (Brittany), Heather, Konrad (Julie), Jakob, Adam and Laura.  Great grandmother of Wynter, Emma, Evan, Devon, Paige, Cody, Kurtis, Kelsey, Aiden, Ethan, Braedon, Keagan, Abbagail, Morgan, Ethan, Hudson, Johnny, Rebecca, Brittni, Zoey, Nathan, Hannah, Shyanne, Hunter, Owen, and Hailynn. Predeceased by her parents Katherine Gauer and Franz Wienheimer, great grandsons Jayden and Jordan and sons-in-law Randy McTavish and Bill Gimblet.  Mom/Grandma will be our guiding angel from Heaven as she was on earth!  Thank you Lord for all you have given us by sharing with us such a precious person as our Mother/grandma. “A woman of deep strength, courage, kindness and love”. Born in Yugoslavia in 1928, married in 1948, immigrated to Canada in 1951 by ship, arriving in Halifax with three small children, lived in Cadillac, Quebec, then moved to Ontario in 1958 and settled in Aberfoyle (Guelph), and moved to Arthur Township in 1968.  Her legacy lives on in all of us. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held from Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church, 550 Prospect, Palmerston on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 1p.m.  Spring interment cremated remains Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. Remembrances to Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church, Palmerston or C.N.I.B. would be greatly appreciated by the family.
