Carole Marie Pines, 66, of Saskatoon, SK passed away on December 10, 2024, at her home near Elora, surrounded by close and loving family. Carole is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Mino of Elora, her mother Sylvia Chorney and brothers Dave (Heather) and Randy all of Saskatoon, sister Kathryn (Hall) of Mississauga, daughter Rachel (Pip) of Berlin, nephews Garnet, Nolan, and Joseph. Predeceased by her father Joseph Chorney of Saskatoon. Carole was born in Saskatoon to parents Sylvia and Joseph Chorney, on Sept. 27, 1958. She went on to earn a BA in Music from York University (Toronto), as well as certification as a Translator, Technical Writer, and Project Manager. Carole was an accomplished musician and performed with, and led, various groups throughout her life. She devoted volunteer time to charitable organizations including Neighbourwoods and the Food Forest in Centre Wellington. Cremation has taken place, and her family will scatter her ashes according to her wishes. Memorial donations may be made to Ocean Cleanup, Juravinski Cancer Centre (Hamilton), or The Alzheimer’s Society. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors and staff of Hamilton General Hospital, the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and the Bayshore Home Care palliative and paramedic team.
