Offer, Robert John; With profound sadness we advise you of the death of Robert John Offer II, of Kitchener, in his home at the age of 52 on Friday, April 24. His cherished wife Donna was by his side, as she has always been for the last 31 years. Robert leaves his adoring children Matthew, Meghan, Graham and Caitlyn, and grandchildren Emma, Alexis and Haylie, to join his daughter Lyndal who predeceased him on April 27, 2005. He is already intensely missed by his mother, Margaret Offer of Fergus, his father Robert Offer of Long Branch, and his siblings Cassandra (David) Rawlinson of Brampton, Jason (Kelly) Offer of Fergus, and Michele Offer of Toronto.
Robert was deeply loved by his father and mother-in-law, Alex and Wilma Blais of Brampton, his brother-in-law Steven Blais of Brampton, and his sisters-in-law Sandra Brennan of Kitchener, and Susan Scarfo of Brampton. Robert will be mourned by his many nieces and nephews: Eric, Maxine, Nicholas, Rachel, Calum, Justin, Josh, Joey, Michael, and Samantha. An avid HAM radio operator, Robert answered to callsign “VE3SVO”. He was a long-time volunteer with Scouts Canada and in the Kitchener community as a whole. He loved camping, wolves, and gardening, but most of all, Robert loved his family and his family loved him. We will miss his wit, his sarcasm, and his knowledge. Robert’s family will receive family and friends on Saturday, May 2, 2009, from 9:30 to 10:45am, followed by a memorial service at 11am at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener (www.walser.com), 519-749-8467. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Kids Help Line, would be appreciated by the family.
