Of Arthur passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the Strathcona Long Term Care, Mount Forest on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Veronica O’Donnell (2014). Dear father of Gary and Kim O’Donnell of Arthur, Rick and Suzanne O’Donnell of Brooklin, Chris and Kate O’Donnell, Karen Jackson and the late Bill (2020) and Tom and Sharon O’Donnell all of Arthur. Loving Grandpa of Angela and Scott Densmore, Aleasha and Nick Hansen, Christen O’Donnell and Alan, Curtis O’Donnell and Nicole, Kyle O’Donnell, Jacki and Brydon Gansekoele, Lilly O’Donnell, Shelby Jackson and Josh, Ashley Jackson and Alex, Brooke O’Donnell and Calvin and Owen O’Donnell and Haley. Cherished great grandfather to his eight great grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Peggy O’Donnell, Anne Curtis, Jean Curtis, Henry and Caroline Curtis. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Francis and Irene O’Donnell, sisters Theresa Saunders and Sheila Stortz and brothers Wilfred, Michael, Brendan and James O’Donnell. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Arthur on Sunday, May 29, 2022 and on Monday May 30, 2022. A funeral mass was celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Arthur on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11:00am followed by interment in St. Johns Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to St. Johns Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
