O’Brien, Joseph Desmond; Died in his home in Meaford after battling cancer for eight months. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Eileen O’Brien. He is survived by his loving wife Anne Marie; his brother-in-law Frank (Nancy); sisters-in-law Debbie (Bruce), Madonna (Michael), Kathy (Tom), Patricia (Late John); nieces Amanda, Rebecca, Angela, Sharon, Shannon, Karen, nephews Sean, Vincent, Chris and Patrick; The Cottrell family; his family in England, The Dyers, The Lyons and The Rochfords; his large Irish Family, The O’Brien’s; his two- and four- legged family in Aiken, South Carolina; the world’s best neighbour Wilda; and many dear friends. As per his wishes Des has been cremated. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Church in Elora on May 14 at 11am followed by a celebration of his life.
