Oakman, Eileen; peacefully with her loving family at her side, at the Wellington Terrace in Elora, on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Cliff Oakman (2011), loving mother of Steve and his wife Sophie of Kitchener, and Laurie and her husband Bruce Heller also of Kitchener. Dearly loved grandmother of Krista (Seth), Kendra (Nick), Jamie and Julie. Proud great grandmother of Emily, Ivy and Dylan. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Margaret Krouse and brother Floyd Krouse and cousin John Telfer. Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Helen, Jean and Kay, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Fondly remembered in her caregiving role as a ward clerk at the hospital, home maker (VON) and as a loving caring mother. A special thank you to the Wellington Terrace and all the staff of Cedar Gorge for their excellent care, kindness and love towards Eileen and her family. Eileen rested at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus Chapel, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday, January 6th. Funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 7th at 11am followed by interment at Belsyde Cemetery.
