Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, neighbour and friend, Jean was predeceased in 2010 by her husband of 55 years, Ron. She leaves behind her children, Linda, Dan (Wendy), Susan (John), Paul (Cathy), and son-in-law, Rick. She is missed very much by her grandchildren whom she cared for deeply: Travis and Robert, Russel, Stuart and Robin, and Alex and Jake. Jean lived her entire married life on the farm with Ron and remained there enjoying her garden and the country life until shortly before her death. She was a talented seamstress, gardener, and baker. If she knew you were coming, she would have a hot apple pie baked and waiting for you within an hour. She took pride in her huge tulip garden, and in the fact that she was still using a chainsaw and riding her lawn mower well into her 80s. Every Christmas she would bake dozens of at least 20 different kinds of cookies to the delight of everyone, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed nature and the small things in life, and she passed this love on to her children and grandchildren. Everyone who met Jean knew her as lovely, kind, and generous. She always looked younger than her age and had a beautiful smile. Up until her last day, she wanted to make sure others were ok. Mom has been cremated and her ashes spread across the beautiful field that she looked at for over 67 years. We love you, Mom and we miss you very much.
