NEWMAN, Frederick Paul

Of Ayton, passed at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in his 95th year. He is reunited with his late wife Muriel (nee Keller). Loving father of Stanley (Helen) of Ayton, Dennis (Patricia) of Kincardine, Kathy (Brian Damm) Morden of Neustadt, Bruce of Arthur, Clare (Caroline) of Guelph and the late Beth Anne Leon. Cherished grandfather of Christine, Raymond (Kathy McCausland), Brenda, Kimberly (Mark) Schubert, Michelle Dahmer, Daniel (Heather), Becky (Tyler) Rea, Jonathan (Bridget), Jessica, Melissa (Zac) Bertheaw, David, Kara-dee (Matthew) Vandervecht, Benjamin (Paige Myer) Morden, Robert Frank, Jeremy (Saundra), Drew (Jen) and Charlotte. Sadly, he is predeceased by grandsons Jamie Frank, Blane Morden and great grandson Kevin Newman. He is survived by 19 great grandchildren with two more on the way. Dear brother of Doris Mew and the late Betty Adams. Fondly remembered by his son in-law James Leon of Hanover. Of all the work Fred did through the years: farming, truck driving, the mobile feed mill with Art Domm, working at Neustadt and Ayton feed mills, splitting wood, growing potatoes, snow blowing and grass cutting around town, the work he most enjoyed and took great pride in for some 40 years was being caretaker of the Ayton Union and EUB Cemeteries. The family received friends at the Ayton Centennial Hall on Tuesday, March 8 from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral service from the hall was on Wednesday at 2:00pm. Cremation has taken place, with a spring interment at Ayton-Union Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Ayton EUB Cemetery Board of Alsfeldt United Church or Union Cemetery of West Grey Municipality or charity of your choice.
