Moffat, Irene; The family of Irene Moffat sadly announced her passing with family by her side at Eden House, Eden Mills, on Sunday March 9, 2008, in her 96th year. Katharine Irene Darby, wife of the late Duncan Moffat (1992) who farmed together in Nassagaweya. Loving mother of Jean & John McLean of Rockwood, Mary & Ved Nandrajog of Brampton, Norma Moffat & Brian Hughes of Kelowna, BC. Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Jim & Jackie, John & Sarah, Sharmila, Priya, Paul, Irene & Gordon, Senja, and Kari. Great grandmother of Amber, Duncan, Connor, Lilly Anne, Cianna, Celina and Dianne. Also missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by parents, Charles & Kate Darby, and her sister, Mary & husband Logie Robertson. Irene had been an active member in Dublin Women’s Institute for 65 years, a 4H leader and a Sunday school teacher at Ebenezer United Church. Friends were received at the Blue Springs Funeral Home, Acton, on Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service was at Ebenezer United Church, 12274 Guelph Line, Friday March 14, 2008, at 1 p.m. Interment, Ebenezer Cemetery.
