Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jean Christine Moase on Jan 1, 2023 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Jean will always be loved and missed by her mother Glenda, father Richard, his spouse Phyllis Shepard.  She will be forever missed by her brothers Jimmy, Jeffrey and sister-in-law April, and was an extremely loving aunt to Ashley, Madeline and Brady. Jean passed away peacefully at home with her loving mother, father and her friend Phyllis by her side. Jean was never one to back down from a fight and for over 2 years she was an inspiration to all who witnessed her battle with cancer. Jean never gave up hope and fought until her last breath. She will forever be remembered for her courage, her will, as well as her love for family, friends and animals. Special Thanks to Dr. Cary Shafir and the Nurses at Bayshore Home Health for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Jean’s memory to the Guelph Humane Society in honour of her love for animals, and the Guelph General Hospital for the excellent care she received by the Doctors and staff. Visitation was held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son-Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, Ontario on Friday Jan 6, 6-9pm and Saturday Jan 7, 1:30-2:15pm, service began in the chapel at 2:30pm with a reception that followed in the Hart Fellowship Lounge. Interment to be held this coming spring at the Markdale Cemetery, in Markdale, ON.
