Mitchell, Charles H.; Peacefully at Milton District Hospital on Monday January 20, 2014 in his 97th year. Survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Clara (nee Peart). Father of Janet, Ross, Glen (Mary) and David. Grandfather of Janet Leigh (Ron), Scott (Kim), Gary, Karen (Rob), Michael (Barbara), Darlene (Kelly), Marlene (Bruce), Derek, Shannon and 11 great grandchildren. Charlie was the owner/operator of Charles H. Mitchell and Sons Excavating and was instrumental in the construction of Highway 401, Mohawk Raceway and The Mohawk Inn. A very active member of the Campbellville community, he will be fondly remembered by many. The family will receive visitors at the J. SCOTT EARLY FUNERAL HOME, 21 James St., Milton (905) 878-2669 on Thursday, January 23 from 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 24 at 11 a.m. from ST.
