Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in the loving company of her daughter and her faithful canine companion “Rusty” at Stratford General Hospital, aged 66 years. She was the wife of the late William (Bill) David Swackhammer. Helen was the devoted mother of Penny Meagher (Brad Pulver) and step-mother to Damien Swackhammer (Lynn Boucher-Swackhammer) and Jennifer Swackhammer. Cherished sister of Pat (Elda), Karen, Kathleen (Ed), Tom (Judy), Linda and Chuck. Helen is predeceased by her parents William and Jean Meagher, brothers Jimmy and Billy, and sister Mary. Helen had fond memories of joining friends in activities such as quilting, bowling, playing cards and pickle ball. She also cherished her days spent trucking and boating with her devoted husband Bill. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a time of reflection at 2:00pm at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph (519-822-4731).
