McLellan, Howard Leslie; was born in Arthur Township on February 1, 1928 and died peacefully on February 6, 2009. He was the husband of Nancy; loving dad of Brian and Gayle, Bruce McLellan and Lianne Poloz, Sharon and Paul Gibson, Darlene, David and Lori and special uncle to Jan Reid. Fun loving grandpa of Trevor (fiancee Monique) McLellan, Erin (Rob) Aldridge, Carey, Tim McLellan, Amanda Bradshaw, Jeff, Jenna and Lisa Gibson, Kyle McLellan (his special buddy), Nathan Kugler, Drew and Adam McLellan and Great-grandpa of Owen Aldridge.
Dear brother of Isabella McLellan, Marie Stewart, Donald (Shirley) and Lorne (Ruth). Brother-in-law of Ruth, Agnes and Sylvia McLellan. Predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Edith McLellan; sister Pearl; brothers Wilbert, Gordon and Ross; brothers-in-law Clifton Reid and William Stewart; niece Barbara McLellan and nephew Howard Reid. Leslie was a loving and devoted Dad and Grandpa who lived for, and was always there for his family. A proud and hard working Ironworker for over 50 years. He was a member of the local 736. He had many friends at the Army and Navy Club and the Prime Restaurant. Special thanks to the staff of the 5th floor, St. Mary’s Hospital, the 3rd floor, Grand River Hospital, and the Freeport Health Centre for all their care and compassion. Friends and family were invited to visit and share memories of Leslie at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South, Kitchener, on Monday, February 9, from 2pm until 4pm and 7pm until 9pm. A funeral service to celebrate Leslie’s life was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10 at 1pm with interment following at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
