MCDOUGALL, Brent Ronald

Passed away peacefully on Thursday September 16, 2021 at the Wellington Hospice. Surrounded by the love of his family and MacKenzie & Sharon by his side in his 47th year. Waiting at the Gates of Heaven with open arms were his parents Ron (2017) & Linda McDougall (nee Glassford – 2010) and his younger brother Troy (1989). Brent was the most loving and caring father and leaves behind with broken hearts and lots of love the 3 most important people in his world, daughter MacKenzie and sons Aiden and Evan McDougall all at home. Brent will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his best friend and mother of their children, Sharon (Goetz) McDougall and her parents Bob Goetz and Debbie and Mark Homer. Brent was the beloved nephew of Karl McDougall and Sharon, Bill and Judy Glassford, Dianne and Lawrie Farnell, Sharon and Joe Morris, Kent and Tammy Glassford, Lisa and Ron Deaken, Judy and Larry Lougheed, Mark and Kerri-Lee Glassford and Cindy Glassford. Brent will be fondly remembered by Melanie Dyce and her children Caden and Gavin as well as many cousins, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his Grandparents, Ivan and Mary McDougall and George and Rita Glassford, Aunt Shirley McDougall and Uncle Kevin Glassford. Brent loved sports and was very involved with Arthur Minor Lacrosse, as a coach and the recent President. Growing up he also played with Arthur Minor Lacrosse, Arthur Minor Ball, Arthur Minor Hockey, Arthur Tigers Hockey, and Guelph Regals Jr B Lacrosse. He dedicated much of his time coaching both his boys in lacrosse and hockey and his daughter in ringette, baseball, and hockey. The family received friends at the Arthur and Area Community Centre, 158 Domville Street, Arthur on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm and Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. Rev. Ed Charlton will conduct the Funeral Service in the Arthur and Area Community Centre on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00am. The service will be video taped and will be made available below on Saturday, September 25, 2021 for friends and family to watch. Interment in Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. As expressions of sympathy donations to Arthur Minor Lacrosse or Grand River Hospital Renal Kidney Clinic (who have provided care for Brent over the last 7 years)would be appreciated by the family. Cheques for Grand River Renal Kidney Clinic are to be made out to the Grand River Hospital Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Arthur.
