Of Palmerston passed away suddenly at the Guelph General Hospital on Monday, October 2, 2023 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Elaine “Tiny” (Rody) for 59 years. Dear father of John McClennan and Robin Hedge of Guelph, Jeff McClennan and the late Judy McClennan (2012) of Guelph and Jamie McClennan of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather of Bryn, Kyleigh, Jamie, Scott, Todd, Tess and Madison. Brother of Doreen Schuler, Audry McClennan and Brian Triebner. Brother-in-law of Phyllis McClennan, Violet and Roy Weaver, Ron and Janice Rody, Murray Rody and Marnie, Corrine Mitchell, Bruce Rody, Blair and Liz Rody. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Ida McClennan, brothers, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill and Jean McClennan, Jack McClennan, Frank Schuler, Ken and Jane Rody, Marj and Dave Conrad, Kathy Rody and Jane Rody. To honour Wayne’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Frank Lambier Legion Branch 409 Palmerston on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 12:00 to 4:00pm with remembrances at 2:30pm. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or the Palmerston Firefighters Association (cheques made payable to the Town of Minto) would be appreciated by the family.
