MAY, Diane (Wrigglesworth)

Passed away after a brief but stoic battle with cancer at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Guelph on June 29th, one day before her 82nd birthday with her husband, Paul, of 59 years by her side. Loving mother to son Tim (Kirsten) and daughter Sherry. Cherished grandmother to Abby (Matthew) and Andy (Jordan). Devoted sister to Joan Marshall (Robert) along with late sister Marilyn Hawtin (Victor). Diane (Deena) grew up on a dairy farm in Halton County (Hornby). In her early years, she was heavily involved in Junior Farmers and 4-H activities and served a term as Halton’s Queen of the Furrow. Diane was well-known for her talents as an accomplished cook, artist, and gardener, and especially for her famous pies. She spent much of her life devoted to the church and was a lifetime United Church Women (UCW) member. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will occur in the fall on the family farm. In Diane’s honour, the family asks that donations be considered for the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph or the Rockwood Stone United Church.
