Wayne was born on October 19, 1973 and passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Wellington Terrace in Fergus at the age of 50 years. Cherished husband of Sherri Ann (Gingrich) Martin for 25 years. Loving father of Alanna, Taylor, Aidan, and Joey, all at home. Dear son of Abner and the late Almeda (2015) Martin. Son-in-law of Rufus and Verna Gingrich. Brother of James and Anne Martin, Murray and Fern Martin, Joyce and Barry Martin, Ken and Sandra Martin, Brian and Beverly Martin, Glen and Diane Martin, John and Erica Martin, and Gary and Roselyn Martin. Brother-in-law of Maynard and Joyce Gingrich, Daryl and Brenda Shoemaker, Donna Gingrich, Shirley and Lloyd Frey, and Laurie and Dennis Frey. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister-in-law Karen Shoemaker (2020). Wayne has finished the course after a lengthy battle with MS. He is remembered as a man of integrity who faithfully served the Lord. We are so grateful to the care team at Wellington Terrace and Right at Home. Your compassionate care and love have meant so much to our family. Family and friends were invited for visitation and viewing at the Arthur Mennonite Fellowship, 161 Eliza Street, Arthur on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. The Funeral Service was held at Arthur Mennonite Fellowship on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:30pm. The interment took place in Hollen Cemetery, followed by reception at the Drayton Community Centre.
