Martin, Maurice S.; Passed away peacefully at home, RR 1, Elora, on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Ella (Brubacher) Martin. Dear father of Pauline (Harvey) Metzger, Elora; Delphine (Brian) Martin, Drayton; Helen Martin, Elora; the late Steven (Pauline) Martin, Elora; Clifford (Kris) Martin, Moorefield; and Kevin (Arlene) Martin, Elora. Survived by 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Irla Gingerich and sister-in-law Almeda Martin. Predeceased by his son Steven, a great-granddaughter, parents Ervin and Lucinda (Shantz) Martin, stepmother Mary Martin, brother Milford, sisters Cleta (Cleon) Martin and Bernice (Lorne) Gingerich, and brother-in-law Alvin Gingerich. The family received relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Saturday, February 1 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday, February 2 from 2-6 p.m. A family service took place at the funeral home on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 9 a.m. then to Maple View Mennonite Meeting House, Alma, for burial and further public service.
