Passed into the presence of his Lord, surrounded by his family at Wellington Terrace on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Lena (Brubacher) for 65 years. Cherished father of Marilyn (Larry) Shantz, Brenda (Clifford) Martin, Diane (Kevin) Martin, Dennis (Jill) Martin, Dwayne (Delphine) Martin, Sandra (John) Wideman, Derrick (Darlene) Martin, Sherri (Jake) Wiebe, and Darcy (Donna) Martin. Lovingly remembered by 34 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law of Gordon (Edna) Martin, Mary Martin, John Metzger, Leonard (Mildred) Martin, Orleon Martin, and Merle (Fern) Martin. Brother-in-law of Marie Brubacher, Jean Brubacher and Landis (Violet) Brubacher. Predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Susanna (Shoemaker) Martin, brothers Orvie Martin, Abner Martin, sisters Florence Metzger and Eileen Martin, brothers-and-sisters-in-law Abner Brubacher, Abner Wideman, Vera Wideman, Robert Bauman (Esther (Brubacher) Bauman, Annie (Reesor) Bauman), and great-grandsons Everett Freeman and Kody Martin. Visitation took place on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 6-8pm and on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A private family service was held at 9am on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the funeral home chapel, then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for public burial and further service. The family wishes to thank Wellington Terrace for their excellent care, as well as for the support and prayers of family and friends.
