Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care LTC, Harriston on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Vera Martin (2018). Dear father of Brian (Delphine) Martin of Drayton, Murrel (Leona) Martin of Alma, Brenda (Dennis) Lichty of Moorefield, Kent (Rosanne) Martin of Moorefield, and Donna (Leon) Kraemer of New Liskeard. Fondly remembered by 26 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Alva (Alma) Martin and sisters-in-law Seleda Martin, Loreen Martin, and Alice Frey. Predeceased by his parents Tilman and Mary Martin, siblings Loreen (Noah) Martin, Oscar Martin, Vietta Martin, two great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law Herman (Leona) Weber, Earl Martin, and Abner Frey. Visitation for relatives and friends was held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 5-8pm and on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family service was held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 9am then to Goshen Mennonite Meeting House, 6918 Wellington Rd. 12, Drayton for burial and public service.
