Ashley Skyla Martin, age 9 years, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 12, 2022, after bravely battling the effects of a brain tumour for five years. Precious daughter of Greg and Rhonda Martin of RR 2, Drayton. A special sister to her six siblings: Trayden, Kaylee, Erika, Tanner, Kyler, and Brookny, all at home. Leaves to mourn her maternal grandparents Harvey and Florence Bauman, paternal grandparents Brian and Delphine Martin, aunts, uncles and 57 cousins. Predeceased by her aunt, Sandra Bauman, and cousin, Lily Martin. Dearly missed by her teacher Colleen Wideman, who had a very important part in Ashley’s life. A special thank you to the staff at McMaster Children’s Hospital for your dedicated and loving care for Ashley. We also want to thank the church and each one for your support and prayers during Ashley’s illness, and since her passing. The family received friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 2 – 5 and 6:30 – 8pm at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 9am, then to Goshen Mennonite Meeting House for public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
