Passed away into the arms of her saviour on Sunday, April 24th, 2022 in her 90th year at Strathcona Nursing Home, Mount Forest. Predeceased by her loving husband and hunny, Wayne, not long before in August 2021, for whom she was married for 69 years. She was the proud and supportive mother to Kevin Marshall and his wife Sue, Scott Marshall and his wife Wendy, Rebecca Broadfoot and her husband Hugh, and Dawson Marshall and his wife Maureen, and predeceased by her daughter-in-law Lyn Taylor-Marshall. While relieved she is at peace with her saviour, she will be ever-so missed by her kids. Survived by her lucky grandchildren Ryan, Greg, Kelsey (Tim), Kate, Alyssa (Mike), Jessalyn, Lindsay (Tom), Marshall and Drew, and her great grandchildren Lydia, Rowan, John and Clark, who will remember her fondly in her perfect prime – making the yummiest butter tarts, giving the laundry-tub-foot-scrubs-so-the-carpet-stays-clean and doling out pure love in the form of memorable hugs. Born in 1932, in Fergus, to Charlie and Della, Pauline was the adored baby sister to Marjorie Honsinger (Gord), Wilma Bowen, Eleanor Jones (Gord), Merve McLean (Kay), and Eloise Lawrence (Bill). Polly was known for her warm heart, her devoted faith and her love for a good prank followed by a contagious giggle that carried on even through the foggiest years of a long journey with Alzheimer’s. Pauline worked at the Wellington-Guelph Health Unit in Fergus and enriched her life with faith and friends attending Elora Pentecostal Church for many years. Her life with Wayne was full of love and laughter, as the two never shied away from writing a love letter, hosting a themed dinner party with friends/family, or going on a trip to tropical places. Polly, Mom, Gramma – she was sweet, smiling and singing until the very end. A Celebration Of Life will be held at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus, visitation 12:00 till 2:00pm and the funeral at 2:00 on Saturday April 30th. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pauline are asked to consider Elora Pentecostal Church, The Alzheimer’s Society or you can honour her, our mom and gramma, by calling someone you love today.
