MARSH, George S.

George died suddenly at home with his beloved wife Judy close by on Saturday, September 14 at the age of 86. George will be lovingly remembered by his sons Andrew (Irene), Matthew (Renee), Chris, grandson Cyle, great grandson Axell aged 6 yrs. He leaves Judy’s brother, Jeremy Neave of Surrey, England, Tom (Lois) Marsh and family, and many friends. George lived a full and happy life. He married in 1967 a nurse whom he met in the health centre at his place of work when he came in with a pseudo headache. His life before that was in military Lorne Scots regiment – a competitive rifle shooter in the Tokyo Olympics 1964 worlds championships – a record shoot in Wiesbaden, Germany and many more. He was a sniper.  After family life blossomed he and Judy refurbished two old stone farm houses and farms, raised angus cattle, bred Labrador dogs, operated farm holidays bed and breakfast. He gave of himself to others. He was a man of vision. He will be missed. Rest in peace dear George.
