Markham, Audrey Helen Davidson Passed away on June 1st, 2010 at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus at the age of 91. Daughter of the late Ernest and Ellen Markham of Toronto. Audrey will be dearly missed by her many friends in Elora, Fergus, Guelph, Toronto, Port Hope and Peterborough. During the Second World War Audrey served as a dental assistant and was stationed in Torbay, Newfoundland. Once back in Toronto she became a founding member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association. To all that knew her, Audrey was known as a wonderful, caring and giving person with a compassionate nature. Holding a special place in her heart for children and animals, she often fed the local cats and took a special pleasure in feeding the many squirrels that came to know her yard. Audrey was a longtime member of the Bloor Street United Church in Toronto. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. in Elora, on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 from 9-11am, a funeral Service followed in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11am. Interment will take place at the Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus. Memorial donations can be directed to Groves Memorial Hospital and The Canadian Cancer Society.
