Main (Ahlers), Ann Margaret; of R.R. #2, Moorefield passed away peacefully at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Monday, January 20, 2014 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Michael Main for 55 years. Loving mother of Kathleen and her husband Roger Mitchell of R.R. #2, Drayton, Susan Etherington of St. Catharines, Michael Robb Main and his wife Juliana of Aurora and Ian Main of R.R. #2 Moorefield. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer and Greg Porter of R.R. #2 Drayton, Philip Mitchell and Candice Leyland of Waterloo; Christopher Etherington and Robert Etherington and his friend Nicole all of St. Catharines; Christina Main and her friend Roman and Jonathan Main all of Aurora. Much loved great grandmother of Aiden and Abigail Porter. Sister of Patricia Jarvis of Sarnia and John Ahlers and Donna Little of Vancouver B.C. Sister-in-law of Robb and Carole Main of Arizona. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Ethel (Highmoor) Ahlers, brother Roy Ahlers, sister-in-law Marion Taylor. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Thursday, January 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, January 24 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. To honour Ann’s wishes cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Lung Association or the Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
