Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on June 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family, Dale Maclean Howard in her 81st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband and eternal soulmate Allan Maclean Howard, her parents Ernest and Verna Robinson and our littlest angel Robin Anne. Lovingly remembered by her brother Brian (Merle), her children Janet (Andrew), Meridyth (Steve), Scott and Allan (Yvonne) and her grandchildren Mary, Michael (Laura), Jessica, Sarah, Avalon, Faith, Zoey, Ethan and AJ, and especially her cousin Janet Perroni who in life was as close as a sister to Dale. A fun-loving and fierce lady with an unwavering moral compass, Dale was born in Hamilton and raised in Clarkson and Toronto. A chance meeting at the Balmy Beach Club led to a whirlwind romance with Allan that lasted a lifetime. While raising a family with Allan she resumed her education and began a long and satisfying dental career. Dale enjoyed family time on Lake of Bays for many years. While proving to be a great Mom Dale knocked it out of the park as a grandmother. Along with Allan she forged deep relationships with each of her grandchildren. More often than not she was their confidante and advisor through anything life brought them. Dale and Allan enjoyed many happy retirement years together in Fergus. Dale was in a wheelchair for the last twenty-three years of her life and fought many serious health issues for more than a decade with unfailing optimism, strength and unfailing love for those close to her. With no room for self-pity, Dale was defined by strength and determination. Many thanks to Dr. Rose-Janes and the staff at Groves Memorial Hospital, Woodstock General Hospital and the Grand River Cancer Center for the great care and comfort they provided to Dale. A funeral was held on June 25th at 11:00am at St. James Anglican Church, 171 Queen Street East, Fergus. Family received guests in the Butterfly Hall following the service. Internment was on June 29th at St. James the Lesser Cemetery, 635 Parliament Street, Toronto with service for family beforehand at St. James the Lesser Chapel at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Dale may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Fergus or a charity of your choice. Personal online condolences at www.brockandvisser.com
