Passed away at the Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, on Monday April 8, 2024, in her 84th year. Pamela put all the strength she had into recovering from a fractured hip in early January 2024. However, she lost the battle due to complications occurring after the hip fracture. Pamela emigrated to Canada in 1965 with her husband Brian and her oldest daughter Amanda and oldest son Robin. Duncan, Heather, and Christian were born in Canada soon after. Pamela and her family eventually settled in the Fergus/Elora area in the early 1970’s and loved raising her family here. Pamela was a strong and adventurous woman who could handle any challenge. Her contributions to the community varied over the years with working in local shops, librarian, supporting her children’s activities, becoming a PSW and for a time became a foster parent to many children. Pamela will be missed by Amanda MacMillan (Dave) of Fergus, Robin Lowe (Lynn Hesketh) of Fergus, Heather Vaillancourt (Robert) of Rockwood, and Christian Lowe (Tara) of Sault Ste Marie. Loving Grandma of Dustin and Jason, Courtney, Olivia, Austin, Anna, Kaileigh, Shelby, Kassandra, Jessica, and Sebastian. Loving Great Grandma of Felix, Morgan, Brooklyn, Brian, and Isla. As Pamela lived between England and Canada, she will also be dearly missed by her ancestral community of Church Kirk, England. Survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Tony and Joanne and Ian and Madeline and their families. Predeceased by her husband Brian, son Duncan, brother Gordon and her parents Constance and Albert. Cremation has taken place and in lieu of flowers and cards, please donate to a charity of choice. Special thanks to Dr Kaminga and the staff at Groves Memorial, Guelph General and St. Joseph’s Rehab Centre.
