passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus on April 4, 2021 at the age of 97. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers, sisters-in-law, and her lifelong friend Margie Schunck. Aunt Mary will forever be in the hearts of her nieces and nephews and their families: Mary Anne (Bruce) Jackson, Seeley’s Bay; Jane (Duncan) Pickard, Portland; Susan Leuty, Fergus; Rodney (Marilyn) Leuty, Saskatoon, SK; Stephen (Judy) Leuty, Stittsville; Sandra Leuty, Welland; Sharon (Randy) Cross, Caledonia; Carol (Jerry) Chmielewski, Harrisville, Pennsylvania; Robert (Rosemarie) Leuty, Calgary, AB; Marilyn Leuty (predeceased); fifteen great nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-great nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered by close friends Cathie von Dehn, Dagmar and Brian Pegg, and by her church family at St. Paul’s United, Metz. Mary loved life, was most at home at her cottage on Lake Muskoka, and enjoyed travelling the world in earlier years. She was known for her love of the colour blue and for having a preference for Mustangs. A heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents of Heritage River Retirement Home in Elora for your love and care over the last year and a half. You truly became her extended family. Thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff at Groves Hospital for your compassion in keeping her comfortable during the last weeks of her life. Arrangements are entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus and a private service and interment will take place at Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga.
