Leggett, Thomas Evan; With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear husband and father Thomas (Tom) Evan Leggett at the age of 72 on June 21st, 2014 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. Finally freed from his long roller coaster ride with cancer and other health ailments he is now soaring to a wonderful destination where he will be at peace. Tom was a gentle, kind man who loved and cherished his family. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Sharon (nee Howe), son Aaron and his wife Vicki (Lambert), daughter Adrienne and her husband Bartosz Murawiecki and faithful companion Lottie. Tom is survived by 2 brothers, Raymond (Mona) and Craig (Linda), 2 sisters-in-law Janice Scott and Lynda Chrysler, nieces Keri Davies (Leggett), B. Jae Scott, Jessica Scott and nephews Christopher Leggett, Matthew Leggett, Stephen Leggett, Geoffrey Chrysler and Donald Chrysler. Throughout Tom’s journey of declining health he and the family were blessed to have available incredible health care resources, providers and facilities and appreciate the professional, compassionate care we received. Simpson, Dr. David Brault, Dr. John Hobson, Dr. Matthew Kilmurry, Dr. Stacey Hubay, CCAC team, Closing the Gap, Bayshore Nursing, staff of Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Wellington Terrace, Hospice Wellington. Sincere thanks to our supportive friends. A funeral service was held Tuesday, June 24th, at Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St S, Fergus, Ontario at 11:00 am with Garth Wittich officiating. Visitation was 1 hour prior to the service.
