LEATHAM, Mary “Lois” (nee Carson) of Palmerston passed away peacefully at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late John Leatham (2009). Cherished mother of Cheryl Leatham and Darrol Dierkhising of Wabasca Alberta, Jill Simmons and Carl Hofman of Drayton and Angela Leatham of Palmerston. Mother-in-law of Wenda Humphries of Elmwood. Grandmother of Erin Beaver of Edmonton Alberta, Morgan Dierkhising of Wabasca, Alberta Tammy Simmons and Nathan Douglas of Clifford, Annie Simmons of Drayton and Charlie Simmons of Drayton. Great grandmother of Tyana, Tayva, Tanika, Mason, Alana, Rachael and Harlee. Sister-in-law of Maureen Carrol, Joe and Mary Leatham, Audrey Sobczuk, Jack Taylor and Don and Florence Leatham. Dearly missed by Beth and Barry Denstedt, George Steven, Wayne Carson and Bonny Carson. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews, friends and her four legged friends Moonie and Moskwa. Predeceased by her son Bob Leatham and grandson Jason Simmons. To honour Lois’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family received friends at the Palmerston United Church on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to Operation Smile or the Palmerston United Church would be appreciated by the family.
