Leatham, John; of Palmerston passed away peacefully at Palmerston Hospital on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at age 80. Beloved husband and best friend of Lois (Carson) Leatham for 57 years. Dear Father of Cheryl Leatham and Darrol Dierkhising of Alberta, Jill Leatham and Carl Hoffman of Drayton, Robert Leatham and Wenda Humphries of Elmwood and Angela Phillips of Palmerston. Loving grandfather of Tammy, Annie, Charlie and Jason Simmons; Erin and her husband James Beaver and Morgan Dierkhising and great grandfather of Tyana,Tayva and Harlea. Brother of Maureen Carroll of Stratford, Joe Leatham and his wife Mary of London, Audrey Sobczuk of Waterloo, Bob Leatham and his wife Eleanor of Ilderton and Don Leatham and his wife Florence of Walkerton. Brother-in-law of Annabelle Leatham of Durham, Lois Leatham and her husband Dr. T.R. Bala Krishnan of London, Sherrin and Joe Detzler of Durham and Helen and Jack Taylor of Whitby. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brothers Fred, Jim and Harry Leatham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mac Carroll, Ronald Sobczuk, Jim and Doris Carson, Bob and Marjorie Carson, and Bruce and Helen Carson. To Honour John’s wishes, Cremation has taken place. The family received friends at the Palmerston United Church on Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 1pm until time of Memorial Service at 2pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or the Palmerston United Church would be appreciated by the family.
