Koepke, Walter “Elwood”; of Palmerston and formerly of Peel Township passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Harriston on Thursday March 28, 2013 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Vera (Kennedy) Koepke for 53 years. Dear father of Murray Koepke of Edmonton, Alberta, Glenn Koepke and his wife Linda of Minto Township, Ron Koepke and his wife Gerry of Burnaby B.C. and Ivan Koepke and his wife Denise of Drayton. Predeceased by one son Lyle Koepke (1972). Grandfather of Leanne, Ryan, Krysta, Bethany, Chelsea, Valerie and Vanessa. Brother of Helen Koepke of Waterloo, Wayne Koepke and his wife Jessie of Wasaga Beach, and Wray Koepke and his wife Claudette of Brighton. Fondly remembered by his extended family, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents George and Edna (Walter) Koepke. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Monday, April 1, 2013. Pastor Philip DesJardine conducted the Funeral Service in the Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church or the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
