Went home to be with her Lord and Saviour surrounded by the love of her family at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Thursday, November 28, 2024 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Jerry Klaassen (2019). Loving mother of John and Stephanie Klaassen Moorefield, Bill and Tania Klaassen of Moorefield, the late Henrietta Klaassen (2015) and Susan Klaassen and Henry Van Ankum of Arthur. Mother-in-law of Shaun and Kathy Mackey of Moorefield. Cherished grandmother of John Henry and Erica Klaassen, Whitney Klaassen and Patrick Sanborn, Liam and Kelsie Klaassen, Paxton Klaassen, Billy Klaassen and Robert Klaassen; Maddie Klaassen and Jack Klaassen; Luke Mackey-Klaassen, Gerrit Mackey-Klaassen, Mallorie Jack and Griffen Jack; Holly and Drew Rogerson, Jamie and Owen Royall, Zach and Amanda Van Ankum and Alex Van Ankum. Great grandmother of Jakob, Benjamin, Penelope, Avery, Maya, Wesley, Ruby, Desmond. Sister and sister-in-law of Trudy and Jerry Koobs and Bert and Mary Hesselink, Gordon and Adriana Klaassen, Aliedus and Geertje Klaassen and Jan and Aly Klaassen and Gerrit Bonkes, Predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law John and Dorothy Hesselink, Bill and Debbie Hesselink and Janna Bonkes. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mom enjoyed a long, blessed life guided by a solid faith in God. She loved the outdoors and always appreciated nature around her. Mom loved and nurtured her family and their home always had open doors and open arms. The family received friends at the Drayton Reformed Church, 74 Wellington Street South on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service of Remembrance was held in the Drayton Reformed Church on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 11:00am followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton.
