Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in her 84th year. She is now rejoicing with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Beloved wife of Albert for 57 years. Beloved mother of Jamie (Wendy), Carla (Bill), Anita (Graham), Tim (Leah), Allen (Miriam), and Mark (Julie). Cherished grandmother of 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Joe (Ellie), Ali (Harm), John (Alida), Bert (Fenna), Aleda (Bert, Mel), Rick (Willy), Jane (Martin), Henry (Brenda), Jerry (Helen), and Rhea. Dear sister-in-law to Henk (Tressa, Ali), Janet (Clarence), Margo (Gilbert). She married Albert and raised their family in Elora, Ontario. She was very involved in the community and volunteered with organizations like the Elora Road Christian Fellowship, The Door, Heritage River Retirement Residence, the Wellington Terrace, The Gideons, Elora Road Christian School, and more. Sienie was a very hospitable person and her unselfish hospitality reached out to people of all walks of life. Her strong faith and love for God inspired her to reach out and help those in need. She was such a blessing to many. Special mention to Sue Wilson who was such a good friend and provided friendship and care for the last few years. She will be greatly missed. Visitation took place at the Elora Road Christian Fellowship, 5696 Wellington Road 7, Guelph from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, November 6, 2023, and a funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 3:00pm. All were welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wellington Terrace (Volunteer Association), and are greatly appreciated by the family.
