Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Willem Kamminga announces his passing after a difficult battle with cancer on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the age of 68 years. Willem will be lovingly remembered by his wife Thea (nee. Bergsma) and children Amanda and Dean, his son-in-law Eric Summers, and his grandchildren Wade and Clark Summers, and his family and friends in Canada and the Netherlands. He is pre-deceased by his parents Klaas Kamminga and Atje van der Meulen, and brother Jan Kamminga. Willem was born on March 23, 1951 in the Netherlands. He grew up in Sneek, Friesland. He married Thea in 1971 and they would be together for 48 years. Together, they ran an antique business and immigrated to Canada in 1978. They later purchased a farm outside of Grand Valley, Ontario where they farmed for over 27 years. He was a good friend and was always there for his children. Willem will be dearly missed by all.
