It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce Ted’s passing, with his family at his side, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Guelph General Hospital at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of 52 years to Leslie (nee Dickson). Loving father of Lindsey, Tara (Rob Mailloux), and Carley (Ian Matheson). Proud and devoted Grandpa of McKenna, and Vivian. He will be fondly remembered by his sister and by many extended family and friends. He was the kind of man whose heart was always full of love for his family. Every moment he spent with them was precious, and he made sure to show them how much they meant to him in both big and small ways. Whether it was through the quiet acts of kindness or the sacrifices he made for their happiness, his love was constant and unwavering. To him, family wasn’t just important—it was everything. After a long career in door manufacturing, he continued his working life at Home Depot Guelph and was often leaned on for his knowledge but also for his genuine kindness. Ted will be forever known as a man who lived for the thrill of the ride, whether it was on the open road on his beloved Harley Davidson or pedaling through winding trails on his bicycle. His heart raced for adventure, feeling the freedom of the wind against his face. Those who knew him remember the passion in his eyes whenever he spoke of his rides, and though he’s gone, his love for two wheels, the friendships he made along the way, and the roads he traveled will never be forgotten. A private cremation has taken place, and he will be laid to rest with other family members at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Puslinch Community Center, 23 Brock Rd. S., Puslinch at 1pm followed by a time of reception from 2 – 4pm. Please be aware that there is photo radar going into the town Puslinch. A heartfelt thank you to the staff and nurses of Guelph General Hospital, 5th Floor West Step-Down Unit, for their exceptional care and kindness and for allowing Ted to be comfortable and surrounded by his family. If desired, please consider a memorial donation in his memory to the Canadian Lung Association in lieu of flowers. Online condolences and memories can be shared at www.Brombal.ca
