JORDAN, Nina “Marie” (nee Townsend) July 1957 – June 2018 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Marie at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the age of 60, due to a massive heart attack. Loving partner of John Landman for twenty years. Dear mother of Michelle (Steven Blacklock) and Bradley Jordan and step-mother of Heather McKim, Duncan McKim (predeceased), Wesley Landman and Elizabeth Landman. Cherished grandmother of Colby Jordan, Mariah Willett, Kelsey Ball, Olivia Ball, Nyiah Blacklock, Faith Blacklock, Brianna Jordan-Dupont, Ethan Macleod and Riley Macleod. Fondly remembered by step-grandchildren Benoit Godin and Kaydence Gauthier. Beloved great-grandmother of Bentley Willett. Dear daughter of Nina and Arnold Townsend. Sadly missed by her brothers Glen and Paul (Kathy) and her sister Dianne. Marie will also be greatly missed by many other relatives and friends. For thirty years, Marie operated the Valley Inn Restaurant where home cooking was enjoyed by all. Marie was involved in many aspects of the town of Grand Valley, including the Grand Valley BIA, Arena Board and catering events. Marie was an active member of the Normac Chapter #311, Order of the Eastern Star, Shelburne. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Monticello United Church, 401247 Dufferin County Rd. 15, Grand Valley on Saturday, July 28 at 2:00 pm following an Order of the Eastern Star service at 1:45 pm. Private interment at Grand Valley Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grand Valley Lions Club to help raise funds for the Grand Valley splash pad or to a charity of your choice.
