Jolliffe, Lewis F.; It is with great sadness and with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Lewis Jolliffe at Royal Terrace in Palmerston on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007. Formerly of London, he was the son of the late Frank and Myrtle Jolliffe. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee: Kerrigan) for 61 years. Dearly loved father, father in law and Pal of daughter Bonnie and Paul Graham of Fergus. Lew will be fondly remembered by brothers Fred (Sylvia) of England, Herb (Carol) of London, Murray (Aline) of Phelpston, and predeceased by Frank of Thamesford. Lew cherished his times as an uncle with many nieces and nephews. He was proud to have special spoiling privileges as great uncle to Laurie (Richard) Hurst, Jennifer (Stan) Jensen, the late Rob Zirk (Lindsey), and great great uncle to Amanda and Alexander Hurst, and Jessica Jensen all of Fergus. Lewis was a member of the St. John’s Masonic Lodge No.20, and the Royal Canadian Legion Victory 317 Branch both of London. Family will receive relatives and friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. S in Fergus, on Saturday, December 15, 2007 from 10-11am., followed by a service of celebration of Lewis’s life in the funeral home chapel at 11am. with Rev. David Whitecross officiating. Interment to follow at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Building Fund or to the Royal Terrace Family Advisory Council through the Funeral Home
