Joliffe, Shirley

Joliffe, Shirley It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that Bonnie and Paul Graham announce the passing of Bonnie’s Mom, Shirley Jolliffe, at Wellington Terrace in Fergus on Saturday, December 8th, 2012.  Formerly of London, she was one of four daughters of the late Alexander and Ida Kerrigan. Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Lewis Jolliffe for 61 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Bonnie and Paul Graham of Fergus. Shirley is predeceased by sisters: Lena (Frank) Green of London, Hazel (Bill) Hamilton of Ilderton, and Elva (Fred) Paul of London.  Shirley cherished her times as an aunt with nieces and nephews Barb, Jean, Robert, Bruce, Marie, Heather and their families. She was proud to have special active spoiling privileges as great aunt to Laurie, Jennifer, Rob, Laura, Kim, Roy, Beverly and Louise.  As a great, great aunt, Shirley was thrilled to share special occasions with Amanda and Alexander Hurst and Jessica Jensen, all of Fergus. A beautiful sunny winter day graced a ‘Service of Celebration of Shirley’s Life’ at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home Chapel, 280 St. David St. S. in Fergus on Thursday, December 13th, 2012 at 11 am. Family and friends were blessed with a very meaningful and reassuring message and a lovely sharing of memories of Shirley by Rev. David Whitecross. Special musical offerings by Joan Wilson and Bill Baxter soothed the souls of everyone. Interment followed the service at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Wellington Terrace Home, through the Funeral Home (519) 843-3100.   www.grahamgiddyfh.com
