With great sadness we announce the passing of Alan Jay (AJ) on May 20th, 2021 in his 68th year, peacefully at home after a brave battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Janie (Madigan) and cherished father of Nathan and wife Kasie (Crawford-Jay). Dear son of Dora Jay (Albert 2003). Survived by his siblings Brenda (Paul), Glen, Scott and Gary (deceased 1992). Al will be missed by his mother-in-law Shirley Madigan. Dear brother-in-law to Barry Madigan (Audrey), Marlene Smith, Brad (Debbie) Madigan and John Madigan. Special “Uncle Al” to many nieces and nephews. Al will be fondly remembered by his many racing buddies and friends at Silent Valley (his happy place) for his laugh, friendship, carpentry skills, hardware store and golf cart rides. In lieu of flowers, family request donation to Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Heart felt thank you to our family and friends for calls, visits, flowers and food. It meant so much to us. A special thank you to Bayshore and AJ’s nurse Bonita for their home care support.
