Peacefully at Innisfree Hospice, Nyle passed away on January 11, 2022 at age 86. Nyle was pre-deceased by parents Wilfred and Bernice (nee Jantzi), wife Helen (nee Macredie; 2012) and survived by wife of three years, Laura Ann Wagler. Very sadly missed by children Margaret (Doug), Jennifer (Brian), Matthew (Karen) and grandson Graham (Nicole). Mourning his loss are siblings Delores (Harold), Carol (Ken), Donna (Greg) and John (Norma). Fondly remembered by Iutzi nieces and nephews, the Macredies and the Waglers and their families. Nyle and his family lived in the south end of Rockwood for over 40 years and he worked until retirement at the OVC. He was a tireless Hospice Wellington volunteer for many years, an avid gardener and longtime member of the Guelph Horticultural Society. Nyle enjoyed being a part of the Wilmot Seniors Woodworking and Craft Club in recent years. For decades he was a devoted member of Steinmann’s Mennonite Church. Special thank you to the committed staff for the exceptional care at GRH’s 5 North and Innisfree House. A very special thank you to Leslie Macredie for her tireless support and caring. Due to the current high number of COVID cases and restrictions, the family has decided to postpone the funeral service for now. Donations in Nyle’s memory will be graciously accepted to the Mennonite Central Committee Relief Fund, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Waterloo Food Bank.
