Obituary

It is with sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Wayne Hyland. Beloved and dedicated husband of 55 years to Jennifer Hyland (MacCuaig). Proud and loving father to Christoper (Kendra) Hyland, Karen Hyland, and Sarah (Todd) Mascola. Devoted Papa Bear to Rin Hyland and Melina, Taylor, and Coleson Mascola. He is survived by his sister Sandra Hyland. Wayne was a sharp problem solver who put his skill to work in the banking industry. These strong skills had him moving from branch to branch across central Ontario with family by his side. In each community he lived in, he was a generous volunteer and leader. Giving his time and knowledge to numerous charitable organizations. His most recent accomplishments included fundraising for the Elora Centre of the Arts and Groves Memorial Community Hospital. Wayne bravely battled dementia with Jennifer and his family as support. They were aided by the giving team at the Wellington Terrace Long Term Care. He passed peacefully and will be laid to final rest at a later date in June, in Kingston. Arrangements entrusted to Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com). A tree will be planted in memory of Wayne E. Hyland in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
