Obituary

Paul passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 5, 2022 at the Wellington Hospice in Guelph, in his 88th year, with his family by his side. Paul is survived by his loving wife of over 45 years, Marie Nodwell and predeceased by both of his sisters, Betty Woods (Belwood) and Joan Spencer (Guelph). He was the loved Father of BJ (Neil) Gray of Listowel, John (Meighen) Hurd of Winnipeg, and Darryl (Maja) Hurd of Guelph and a very proud Grandpa of Derek (Nicole) Gray (Kitchener), Amanda Gray (Listowel), Alyssa, Joshua, and Annabelle Hurd (Winnipeg), and Jonathan Hurd (Guelph). Paul was a proud Great Grandpa to Freyja Gray (Derek/Nicole). Dad loved his baseball and hockey games. He also loved fishing and being outdoors cutting wood. Dad took great pleasure in playing euchre with his family and friends. The family would like to thank the dear family, friends, neighbours, the paramedics, the team at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus and the team at Hospice Wellington in Guelph who helped make Dad’s last part of his journey more comfortable.
