C. Laverne Housser of Clifford passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the age of 89 years. Loving husband of Yvonne (Hoover) Housser. Father of John Housser of Kitchener, David & Joanne Housser of Thornloe, Brian & Linda Housser of Manitouwadge, Mark & Nancy Housser of Thurman, Ohio, and Stephen & Lisa Housser of Listowel. Survived by 26 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Remembered by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Kathleen Cober, Luella Hoover, Betty Schiedel, Bruce & Ruth Hoover, Barb Hoover, David & Sherilyn Hoover, and Richard & Patricia Hoover. Predeceased by his parents John and Susannah (Byer) Housser, brothers Wesley & Rita Housser, Floyd & Beverly/Betsy Housser, and Glenn & Evelyn Housser, and by his brothers-in-law Don Cober, Paul Schiedel, and Karl Hoover. Visitation will be held at Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00am. The service will be livestreamed, and the link available on the funeral home website. Private family interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fordwich, will precede the service.
