Homanchuk, Norm: Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 21, 2011 in his 81st year. Best friend and loving companion of Christine Nye. Loving father of Randy Homanchuk, Richard Homanchuk, Paula Homanchuk (Danny Wiechers) and David Homanchuk (Sherri). Cherished grandpa of Summer Homanchuk, Natalie Tennant (Aron), Wesley Homanchuk, Bradley Bonnell, Laura Bonnell, Cooper Homanchuk and Cade Homanchuk. Great-grandpa to Avery Tennant (due to arrive). Dear brother of Doris Helm (Bernie) and Gladys Sinclair. Predeceased by his wife Judy Homanchuk (1987), his parents Paul and Antonia Homanchuk and his father and mother-in-law, Merle Shantz and Hilda Beemer. Norm was a long time member of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (CVMG). Norm’s family received relatives and friends from 7-9pm on Monday, July 25, 2011 and from 2-3:45pm on Tuesday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service took place in the chapel of the funeral home at 4pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 followed by a reception. A private family interment was held in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Norm to the Canadian Cancer Society (cards are available at the funeral home).
